Foundation Profile
Pindi Foundation is a philanthropic non-government; non-profit organization registered in Chandigarh, India established in 2003, registered under the societies Registration Act (XXI of 1860) vide no.3619 on 12 th December 2003 and the Income Tax Act under section 12AA vide no. CIT-1/CHD/Tech/04-05/679 dated 28 May, 2004.
Good Causes
At Pindi Foundation, We strive For The Development
Health Development
Under this initiative, services including medical and health education camps, medical relief funds, poor patient funds, public health education, health initiatives for the elderly and promotion of activities under national health programmes are provided.
Educational Development
Poor and needy children, especially girls from the rural and urban areas are provided full school fee including admission fee for education. Most of these belong to the socially vulnerable caste groups.
Social Development
Social development initiative makes the third pillar of Pindi Foundation. Under this initiative, the community members are engaged at a common platform to discuss the important social issues via the awareness generation camps.
Operation Millets
NCDs are a global epidemic, influencing both developing and developed countries. The India State-Level Disease Burden Initiative in 2017 by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), it is estimated that the proportion of deaths due to Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in India have increased from 37.9% in 1990 to 62% in 2016.
School Health Accreditation Program
During 2011 to 2013, we developed an accreditation system for Health Promoting Schools with support from key stakeholders and implemented accreditation for HPSs in Chandigarh territory, India. School Health Accreditation Program is a joint venture of World NCD Federation
